Musical Entertainment
After visiting the midway and checking out the exhibits in
the Greens area, you may find yourself a little hungry.
Well, we have food for all tastes and styles. Our vendors
can provide you with choices that include, but not limited
to: Mongolian BBQ, crab cakes, roast beef, sausages,
pizza, roasted peanuts, and stuffed ham sandwiches.
We haven’t forgotten about your sweet tooth with cotton
candy, ice cream, funnel cakes, and caramel apples
among the items available for our patrons.
Most of the food vendors are located in the food court
area, but please check out the other vendors located
throughout the fairgrounds for great food and drink!
We thank all of our food vendors for their continued
help and support!
Note: Alcohol is not available for sale or permitted to be brought
on the fairgrounds by the public at any time!
County fairs are known for their carnival rides and we are no
exception. We have rides for all ages. Whether you like a ride that
spins, circles, drops, or moves at a more leisurely pace, we’ve got
the ride for you. For families with small children, we have a separate
kiddie midway, located near the South Gate, where our younger
patrons can ride.
Throughout the midway area, we have games and contests where
you can win that special someone a special prize.
Carnival specials will be available at certain times during the fair.
Check the daily schedules for more details!
We would like to thank our carnival vendor, Rosedale
Attractions and Shows, for their many years of support!

We provide many entertainment options for patrons of the Charles County Fair.
The Charles County Fair has a long history of providing
quality musical entertainment for our patrons. Over the
years, we have presented musical groups from many
genres. Country, rock, gospel, dance, and folk have been
among the favorites. We also provide a venue for local
talent and dance troupes to perform.
We have stages located throughout the fairgrounds with
acts performing at various times, so you can catch your
favorite act at your leisure. Locations include the main
stage, the food court tent, and the Greens area.
A partial list of past year’s performers include:
•
Richard Mark Taylor - DJ
•
Jay Armsworthy and Eastern Tradition - bluegrass
•
Port Tobacco Pickers - country/bluegrass
•
Stone Pleasure - R & B
•
Southbound Band - traditional country music
•
Floyd Andrew - exceptional pianist
We hope you will enjoy all of our performers in 2012!
